How do you screen HC with a LI screen?

if both the cav and the inf are in 2 ranks, the cav cannot possibly
charge through their own LI and clear them, so according to the rules
they cannot do the charge.

I managed to charge Elephants in a line one behind the other with a
flank charge of LI, the Elephants we not disordered by this !!!!!!!!
is this correct?.
