Jon,
March Moves 6.2
1. A march move is 240 if entirely across open/other or 120 if any part enters
very rough or an obstacle.
2. If a body moves less than the permitted distance, no further marches that
bound
3. If a body did not complete at least 1 complete march in a bound, the body
must prompt to start marching again.
Example:
Reg Loose Order foot is in clear and 160 from very rough or an obstacle before
their 1st march move. Their march move in clear is 240. They march to the edge
of the very rough or an obstacle and stop as they would exceed movement to
continue as march movement in very rough is 120.
Question:
How far does the body move on the first march? I assume that in any case they
would halt at the edge of the very rough. Is that correct?
Can the body continue on their 2nd march phase as they have not used the entire
240 paces alloted to them from their 1st march move?
Are they required to prompt next bound as they did not complete the full march
the previous bound?
Not the way I have been playing it, but does seem to be a reasonable read as
written.
Thanks,
Ed

Correct.
<<Can the body continue on their 2nd march phase as they have not used the

The permitted distance was to the edge of the area, so yes, they can continue.
<<Are they required to prompt next bound as they did not complete the full march
the previous bound?>>
They did complete a full segment, so yes.
