On the NASAMW list, we're currently trying to plan out themes, 10, yes, 10 years
down the road. My question(s) have to do with Cold Wars, not Hcon.

One thing we did at CW this year was run the Mini as a Theme event. It had the
additional wrinkle of being a Campaign Theme, which ran very well. Ignore the
campaign issue for a minute.

The basic question is what are your thoughts on keeping the Mini as it is (an
open event) or turning it into a dedicated theme event? If the latter, that
would mean that players desiring any "open" game during the weekend would have
to play Doubles on Saturday.

One possibility would be to keep things the way the are (Mini as Open) with the
occasional foray into a Mini Campaign Theme (not every year but once we get the
themes nailed and armies listed, we could decide up front which years we want to
do that).

Another possibility is to run Fast Warrior in 15mm Sunday morning and make that
our Cold Wars Theme event. I like that option the best with the occasional
foray into a Mini Campaign theme.

Thoughts?

Scott
