To keep track of charges, etc, I use the format that I just uploaded
under the files section. It is similar to the one Jon posted there
as well.

To keep track of fatigue, etc I use a most inexpensive system devised
by Dave Dietrich some years ago. Wrap pipe cleaners of various
colors around a pencil, remove the pencil and cut the pipe cleaners
with a scissors. That leaves you with a stack of little fuzzy round
markers that fit conveniently over spears, on top of helmets etc. We
use red for rout, yellow for shaken, grey for disordered, blue for
tired, green for impetuous, orange for rallying, brown for eligible
to counter/retire.

As far as hoplite shield designs go, check out the web site at
http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/art&arch.html

Cheers,

Dave Beatty

Kelly,

Yes, I partnered with him at Cold Wars last weekend. He is back
in "the world" now in Louisiana, doing well.
