Not true, Kelly.
Let's imagine 16 Reg C MI P,Sh who get to charge, in column, a
barbarian unit of 6 Irr B LMI HTW,JLS,Sh.
The Barbs are 5 figures fighting at a factor of 9, while the Pike
are 12 figures fighting at a factor of 4.
If the pike don't roll down, they cannot rout as a +1 for the Barbs,
reaching maximum factor of 'more', only does 60 casualties, while
the pike, not rolling down, do 36 casualties.
In following bounds, the Barbarians will exhaust soon, and not re-
disorder the pikes without significant dice luck...thus dieing
without doing more than disordering and tiring the pike.
A similar case occurs with 18 barbarians charging 32 pike who are
also charging 4 deep....and in this case the barbarians expose an
overlap to the pike opponent's supporting troops...a tired and
disordered exposed element.
You need to catch the pike outside of 80p...or halted due to a
previous combat.
