 |

Hey folks, two questions if I may.
1: Do units that pursueing fight with adjacent corner to corner
elements, as well as the facing ones? Rulebook says after initial
combat they fight, but is a successful pursuit a new combat or a
subsequent one?
2: Multiple-body combats always screw me up.
Is there any easy way to figure out what body ends up doing what?
This evening during a game we had a 3 body melee, a previous bound
hangover-battle with a flank charge.
2E Macedonian Companions facing 4E Roman/Gothic heavy cavalry, 6E
Hypaspists flanking the gothic cavalry.
Casualties were such:
Companions caused a mere 3 to the Goths(bad roll, disorder, tired...).
Some cretan archers tossed in 16 support shooting casualties on the Goths.
Goths caused 18 to the Companions.
Hypaspists caused a whopping 64 to the Goths.
As far as we could figure out, The Companions break(3CPF, 2Xcas) and
the Goths break (3 CPF, 2Xcas) leaving the Hypaspists all alone.
Since the bodies results seem to be calculated individually, (and
since support shooting is not added to hand to hand casualties) = page 74.
I haven't been playing warrior all that long, but this result seems a
little silly. Perhaps my opponent and I have something wrong?
The battle turned out a tie, as the subsequent waver tests were failed
and both commands retreated. Sheesh.
Thanks for any help.

It is a 'subsequent' one. Yes is the answer.

Looks right to me.

Thank you, Jon.
The combat results seemed a little odd to me, but I guess we did
follow the rules. Just an unusual sitiuation I guess! So shooting
casualties are not added for combat results of "more or 2X", but are
added for CPF purposes, and "more and 2X" is determined by a
body-to-body basis, not all friendlies to all enemies.
Thanks again.
Noel.
