Yes, I am aware this came up. I think it stems from the assumption that routers
are always 'moving as fast as they can' at the unit level where it is just as
likely that a small group of men recover locally to hold off the enemy while the
others get away. The real issue is that variable moves are in Warrior to take
away predictablitily from that which can not be controlled by the general - the
pursuer should not be able to predict exactly where a router will end up and
having a separate variable move rule just for routing is not necessary.

explained as it appears here, I'm a big believer in leaving it the way it is.
