I know that this list is not for politics, and I don't really mean to
intrude into that arena.

When talking of champions, it is important to distinguish between
NASAMW champions -- winners of a NCT or NICT -- and national
champions. The later include only those people who have won a NICT
since the publication of Warrior who have simultaneously been
recognized as the Warrior national champion by FHE.

Winners of the NCT or NICT are NASAMW champions. This becomes
important if a decision is made to honor them with things like a
NASAMW site list of champions, a wall of champions display at NASAMW
events, or a plate/cup/trophy listing all former champions.

In the case of the plate/cup/trophy, it would be interesting to see if
the approach should be rules sensitive. Should there be separate
recognition for 6th, 7th, and Warrior? Or, is there enough of a
feeling of continuity that a single award should be pursued?

It is important only if NASAMW support/recognition is desired. If the
effort is a Warrior community endeavor, then it is not important at
all -- but it might meet with some diffiuculties at a later time if
there is an effort to integrate the work with NASAMW's championship
tournaments.

Again, not wanting to spark a political debate -- if any are so
desirous then let's meet on the NASAMWlist site. But, wanting to
raise awareness.
