I've come to a decision recently...
As most of you probably know from my old signiature (That Greek Hoplite
Guy), I have been somewhat of a hoplite fanatic. Well, NO MORE! I don't
know why I was. The figures are ugly, the troops were notoriously
unsuccessful (shall we say utter failures) historically -- look what Phillip
II did to them -- and I've grown to HATE the colour bronze.
So, I've decided to convert them to a NEW army. Which one you ask, why the
North American INUIT army, the most powerful army in the currently published
Warrior army lists. I've already ripped them all off the bases and sprayed
them all white to represent the cunning camoflage the mass military forces
of the Inuit used. And, I've wripped off all the spears and replaced them
with slings to represent the correct armament.
So, at least the weapons will be right.
And terrain is even easier. I've sprayed it all white too! So now I have
big white snow drifts (aka hills), or glistening white glaciers (steep and
rocky hills) or bright white trees (cunning Inuit Ice Sculptures!).
So, at Cold Wars next weekend you better all watch out!
