Can someone help me out with ideas for a NKE list?
Looking to put together a 1200-pt introductory list for someone.
Write me offline if you can help please.
Thanks.

Actually, unless the person using this list doesn't want folks to know
about it ahead of time, I'd like to see these lists shared here,
complete with rationale for what you're doing. I think this is
particularly good for Biblical Warrior lists if being designed to
compete in an open environment.

I list composition stuff and critiques.

No prob - not sure if the list will be used except against myself
anyhow. Trying to use it to teach the game to somebody who wants to
learn with this army, and I know nothing about how to build a
competitive NKE list to give the person to use for a good starting
point.

Okay, then, to (hopefully) kick this off here is what I am starting
with based on the troops he has (though the MI bowmen and LMI 2HCW
have basing issues anyhow).

New Kingdom Egyptian (Early Period)
15 units @1,711
1 unit CinC/Chariotry 6E Reg 1A/5B 2hLCh 1 w/ JLS,B (w/PA std) @235
3 units Sub-general/Chariotry 6E Reg 1A/5B 2hLCh 1 w/ JLS,B @155
1 unit Axemen 6E Reg C MI 2HCW,Sh @106
2 units Bowmen 8E Reg C MI B @106
2 units Light Archers 8E Reg C LI B @58
1 unit Canaanite Spearmen 6E Irr C LMI JLS,Sh @79
3 units Egyptian Infantry 4E Reg C LMI 2HCW,Sh @74
2 units Egyptian Infantry 8E Reg C MI JLS,Sh @138

I need to improve and cut this to 1600 or, better yet, 1200 points.
And wind up with a decent competitive list.

Me... I like the chariots, the LI (better maybe upgraded to chariot
runners, shields and higher morale, even if nothing to do with the
chariots) and even the close-order bowmen if enemy foot can be kept
away (better maybe upgraded to marines which will help both as loose
order and as being loose order higher morale). The rest of this,
well, I don't really know what to make of it or how to go about
making it competitive. And I am sure they should somehow have some
good foot combo just I do not see it.

But that's me and as said this list for for someone else, with more
balanced tastes.

Any help here?

I have this army in 15mm, at first glance it appears similar to the way i
run it, especially the unit sizes.

But, the axemen and LMI 2HCW and are dogmeat, not sure if they are all
compulsory.

Instead.

More chariots, possibly in 4 or 2 element units. I like the 6 element units
too, but there are enough of these already..

In the past i have fielded the spears in very large deep units - they dont
win quickly but - they generally stand up to almost anything.

The chariots are the key in my opinion, as thay have all sort of options and
can cover a wide frontage.

Having said that, i bought the army third hand off two guys who never won
with it. I dont see the problem, well sure it is weaker than many, but has some
interesting options, and i have probably won atleast half the games where i
fielded it.

That's all the carts he has.

Isn't there anything that can be done with foot? I think the notes
even say something about the successful generals of this army
relying more on the foot with the chariots to support.

I am not seeing it I must admit - except that the missile potential
is very good but at close quarters against enemy foot there is
really nothing in the army that I see that works well.

Anyone?
