Hello, just joined the group. I used to play back when it was called
7th edition and was a member of nasamw, but dropped out when
everybody went to --m, do not get me started. I live outside of
chicago and have a few people who would be good prospects. From what
I can tell the rules went into some good hands, if you ever read the
old rules you would know what I mean. I have to run , but looking
forward to reading some of the posts. Alex

Welcome aboard, Michael! It is a pleasure to have you join us.

Yes, Warrior is played in many tournaments, primarily is the US and in
Australia. Most of the US tournaments can be found listed on the site for the
North American Society of Ancient and Medieval Wargamers at _www.nasamw.org_
(http://www.nasamw.org) , even if NASAMW did not sponsor the event directly.
Greg Preston and others can speak better to the state of Warrior events in
Australia. We have not made as much of an inroad in other areas of the world
as
we would like, but we certainly are working on that.

If you have not already, please visit our company website at
_www.fourhorsemenenterprises.com_ (http://www.fourhorsemenenterprises.com)
where you will
find the ability to order Warrior products, list errata and other information.

The files section of this yahoo group also contains a lot of info to help
you better enjoy your Warrior experience - particularly the rule clarifications,
which help better explain the intent of the rules until we can publish our
much clearer revised rulebook this summer.

Please feel free to ask any and all questions here. Again, welcome.
Jon

Mike, that rocks. When I went to the NASAMW page, I didn't see any Canadian
tourneys - but I should have asked you and the others - my apologies.

Please always send tourney announcements and results to Jeff Zorn at
_jrz3@..._ (mailto:jrz3@...) - he does read this group, but a
plan
B is always good.

Hi everybody,

I stumbled over this list and the Warriorrules by chance when browsing the
net for ancient wargaming.
A few Words to myselve - my name is Michael, I'm 36, living in Austria
near vienna, married, one child and have started playing historicals in
the 80ies with WRG 6th.
Austria is pretty a developmentcountry (or should I say workshopcountry)
regarding hiostoricals (especially ancients) but recently Flames of War
hit our country like lightning and spawned off some interest for ancients
in our club, which I immeadetly exploited to recruit a handful
fellowgamers and now long after our old gaminggroup broke up, I'm able to
return to ancient gaming after long years of collecting only once more Wink
Well when discussing what ruleset to use WRG came to my mind immedeatly of
course (I don't like DBx very much) and I started to search the web for
WRG resources. To my dismay I had to find out that the "classical" branch
of WRG rules had been completely abandoned for DBx. Luckily I stumbled
across a link to the Warriorsite yesterday and saw that the set is still
alive - yay!
Well here I am... :-)

Can anyone tell me if the rules are in use at tournaments? (The crew I
gathered now is very enthusiastic and considers visiting international
tournaments - though our armies will be massacred there Wink - so it would
be nice to know if and at wich tournaments.

Thanks and many greetings,

Michael

Ed,
LOL! Smile Sowieso, ist es
gut, in der Praxis zu erhalten. Die besten Beachtungen,
kelly

Hopefully you'll understand this, Jon. I'm offering a 6 element unit of Skythian
horsemen complete with the heads of their defeated foes for the person who takes
next to last place for the next weeks Fantasy Warrior tournament. By the way,
will the winner of this event qualify for the NICT?

I think the British Historical Games Society still uses
them at tournaments....www.bhgs.co.uk or .org, I cannot
remember (which is why we have Google I suppose).
