I've got that list tucked away somewhere and will search and provide if
you'd like. I think I'm the only guy in the last ten years to run Paul's
list in any tournament. This army list is a favorite of mine and actually
does quite well, although the rank and 1/2 rule change for lance really
screwed them bad. Now cav vs cav they can't even handle out and out scum
historically they walked over. I'll bet the new list will correct this. I
have many fond memories playing Byzantines as my first army. I especially
remember playing Damour and his Vikings many many times: typical game was my
cav ganging up and destroying everything in sight for the first couple of
turns, followed by a nail biting, heart stopping 2 hours of trying to survive
the innumerable counterattacks by 6 man cruise missiles of I/A's or
huscarls. The horror...the HORROR!! Eventually I decided the stress was
going to kill one of us and we weren't getting any younger. Actual combat
was easier to take :)

I have been a NASAMW member for the last year. I don't think I have
the correct Spearpoint issue.

Yes, I know. But November feels a lot longer away you are waiting for
the list to come out. I'm sure it seems just around the corner if you
are writing the thing.

I ran some calculations against Irr B HC, L, Sh and noticed that it
takes luck for the Byzantines to survive the first bound against two
ranks of the Arabs.

I wonder.
And yes, I'd love to see the list. My home e-mail account is

Who needs Georgian's Nike list? I have his list. Matter of fact, I
have his autographed copy that he sent me.(Wonder how much I could
get for it? . --Actually I have his Commenan list as well. Now
that I looked for it. I have his orginal, his copy he sent to NASAMW
and the one from the Spearpoint.
I am getting caught up on the Warrior group email. The gentleman who
asked about OldGlory figures. I have some of the Varangian. GREAT
FIGURES. Unfortunately, Idon't have any of the others; however, I am
looking at getting some of the EHC cav. Wait!!! I do have some of
there bow armed cav. Very nice figures also. I have over 500 Byz
figures. Remember Tim, Pointcon, way back when!!!! My Three Tagmatic
SHC wedges bearing down on you. They died well.
Back to reality. If anyone needs a list give me an address . I will
sent and copy.

Well Chris, I can remember that time at nationals when
I lined up my Ireg "A" Champa and Elephants in front
of your bondi(I think it was the first year you used
those barbarian looking dudes with the big
muscles!LOL!) and had the fastest game In my History!
I rolled down for every unit on my side and you killed
EVERYTHING I had by turn 2!!!!!!!!! "OOOOH THE HORROR
OF IT ALL! Jake Kovel counseled me over my tactics and
I ended up placing 4th or 5th because you Trounced
almost everyone you faced that tournament!
