<< 7th edition players have always had an interesting definition of 'good
generalship'. This particular discussion, about a few Psiloi popping out of
a little woods especially constructed for the purpose, to lure enemy
scythed
chariots, then popping back in to paralyse them, being typical. >>

Ok, let's 'steer' this thread back on line a little.

1. All remember that in some tournaments, players use a terrain placement
system to quickly simulate two generals vying to have the battle take place
on ground favorable to their army. No one is 'constructing' any terrain.
Not all Warrior games are tournament games and not all tournaments use the
feature placement system.

2. There is nothing wrong with a player claiming that his plan to force an
enemy's chariots to deal with light infantry and or bad terrain is 'good
generalship'. That is not gamesmanship; those are precisely the two best
tools for the job. I know, I am a Han player. What should this good general
be using, harsh language?

The Lord knows I have seen enough old '7th edition players' committing sins.
I submit, however, that after 29 years of gaming there are no systems used
competitively that can do any stone-casting. I would request we do not hold
Warrior responsible for any crimes committed in game systems of the past.

Tabula rasa
Jon
