<< Perhaps this is a stupid question, but does a block have to maintain side
edge contact on a element by element basis, and if so, where is that written
in the rules?>>
We do not state it that way explicitly, and I will do so.
I know why this is not stupid. Good question.
And I am looking hard at 1FP for consecutive mounted evade moves (ONLY!). No
guarantees.

Perhaps this is a stupid question, but does a block have to maintain side
edge contact on a element by element basis, and if so, where is that written
in the rules? If the answer is yes, I will then point out why this is not so
silly a question, if the answer is no, then just color me stupid!!
