I posted a poll in the poll section of the newsgroup.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WarriorRules/polls

I saw that the Warrior NICT is 25mm (according to nasamw.org). I was
curious about how many established Warrior gamers use 15mm.

John, although I will play 25mm and have owned many
Armies in that scale, I prefer the 15mm game. I
believe it makes the mounted armies more maneuverable
as they should be. Whereas 25mm makes ackward slow
moving foot armies better than they should be verses
cav armies since ones maneuver room is cut down by
table size. You seldom hear of Champa or viking armies
winning 15 mm tournaments whereas they do markedly
better in 25mm. This is all my humble opinion and only
based on what I think. Disclaimer: I do not suggest in
any way that this is gospel!

Chris D won with Viking in 15's using the T1400 Tournament format.
Table is 3'x5'. Rear zone is 480 paces. 1400 pts for army size.

So when you want to play a foot army, go 25's. When you play a horse army,
go 15's.
Right?

This is what I have wrong. My 15's are Norse Irish. My 25's are Mongols.

I do agree that there is currently no forum to ask questions of all the
NASAMW members who play a given rules set. This group is definitely not it.
I think the NASAMW website should eventually get to this point and have told
some of the NASAMW officers so. It is an easy thing to set up, the trouble
will be:
-finding a volunteer
-getting every NASAMW member who plays x rule set to 'listen in' and answer
polling questions.

Good luck!

Jon

Larry, I am sorry but I did clearly say:

"Any member of WarriorRules can conduct a poll. The ROE for the list
do not allow NASAMW politics, so you'd have to phrase the question(s)
in a purely Warrior manner. Other than that, have at it."

I have deleted the poll as it was filled with contentious NASAMW
issues, and the place for that is NASAMWList, not here. Please take
the NASAMW portion of the poll there.
If you want to repost the poll with questions like: 'do you you play
only 15mm' or 'do you play in tourneys?' etc, that's ok. You may
feel free to run the questions by me offline if you like.

Please remember that most of the folks here are not NASAMW members
and many do not even live in North America. We created NASAMWList
specifically for polls and discussions like that one.

Jon

Jon,

I appreciate that you deleted the initial poll. Actually, I don't
think it would get at the information I am seeking.

I don't think that any e-poll can do that because of the constraints
of the polling process.

To get to useful data it would be necessary to ask several questions
and receive several responses.

I have created a more neutral poll. I'm not sure it will be of any
real value since the difficult questions cannot be asked due to your
rules of engagement.

Larry
