California in general, and Northern California in particular, used to have a
large and active WRG community. Like many others in that community, I kinda
faded from view for a while. In the last three years -- what I think of as the
"Four Horsemen" era -- I've been back in the hobby and very pleased with the way
things are going.
My problem is that I end up doing all my gaming on the East Coast, because I
don't know who or where the West Coast players are any more.
I see Lenny Hermann on the mailing list from time to time. I see Dave Lauerman
on the list from time to time. Lenny I assume is still in SF. Dave used to be in
Monterey; not sure any more.
A huge step forward in recruiting would simply to be to get the Old Guard back.
We're the guys who have a lot invested in lead, more familiarity with the style
of rules system that Warrior represents, and the best opportunity to fill the
ranks through our own presence and our outreach.
So I have a couple of questions:
(1) Is NASAMW willing/permitted to share membership info so we know who the hell
else in our area?
(2) If you're a Californian on this mailing list, could you stand up and be
counted so we know who we are? Contact me off list if you don't want to spam the
whole group with California-specific stuff.
I've got a thousand or so 25mm figures eager for action. I'm willing to drive
within reason. Let's find out who we are.

Seed of a great idea there. I have taken over NASAMW region 4 until we can find
someone that wants the job. I can see they are challenged in the member records
department. And, of course, NASAMW must cater to all rules sets, but FHE has no
interest in doing so.
But I think a database of Warrior players run off our website is a great idea.
I will add it to the pile.

I am quite willing to drive to play FW.
There are several of us old WRG 5th-7th players in the Fresno area and I
am sure interest can be generated in a FW mini con somewhere in the
central SJ Valley.
