Chris,

The point is that avg players, under the premise of the point system,
should have equal chance on the tournament field with either reg or irr
armies. Your comment on reg armies, " I believe that it is more
difficult to play a regular army and win consistently " , goes to the
heart of the criticism on the current point schedule. If two players of
the same quality face each other and irr armies consistently win over the
reg armies, and this holds true with the players switching sides, there
is a problem with the point system or elsewhere.

Has any statistical analysis been done on this issue? If the same
quality opponents can change off between reg and irr armies with little
difference, then there is no problem. If the data shows that there is a
marked difference, there is a problem.

I would suggest that records of the tournaments be keep with player,
player army, opponent, opponent army, reg army / irr army, and win / loss
be compiled. If this shows a marked imbalance when cross indexed against
similar players , then suggestions to fix could then be proposed. As
this info is compiled at the Tournaments anyway, sending copies to
Warrior to input into a data base should not be a problem. This data
would also be highly valuable for future game design.

Lets first see if there really is a true problem or if it is only a
perceived problem.
