Wouldn't they be "warwagons?" I think there is a drawing of 1 online somewhere.
And in 25mm, Hinchliffe may have done 1. Hinchliffe is available through
Colonial Connection in Williamsburg, VA. He has a website, but the catalog is
hard copy only. Maybe they fight as arty. Good question on theme. Mark

My problem is that the list rule for them isolates them
from "transport" rules, and then adds special rules which do not
help to define them.
The problem is that if they fight to the front, then you have the
absurd picture of ox chariots, particularly with the oxen in two
ranks. How do the paraphernalia and do-dads interact with the
elephants if they fight to the front? From the picture of them in
Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars, they obviously fight to the
flank, like a defended obstacle.
Obviously, no one in his right mind will take them for tournament
play. I am just looking for what the list writer, or rules writers,
intended for their use. Since I intend to model them up for a one-
off Asculum refight, I see no need for strict, fair, ironclad
interps. I fully expect them to fail, and miserably at that.
Perhaps I am more of a GASLIGHT player than a tourney player. We
GASsers tend to love our creations even more when they fail.
If no one can come up with a useage which makes sense, I will just
make something up, which will handicap them badly.
No, Hinchliffe does not make one. I have pencil sharpener covered
wagons, or can make some carts by hand with bass wood and Games
Workshop solid cart wheels. I have soem burlap carpet backing for
the basketwork sides.
