Considering the Roman Infantry rules, I have recently had an epiphany. Someone
shake me awake if I'm wrong here. . . Why would anyone want anything beyond "D"
class Roman Legionaires for this? They only cost 90 points for a 4 element
verses 106 for "C" class and 122 for the vaunted "B's" unit and they can always
counter charge ANYTHING including impetuous foot or ANY mounted! What a lovely
concept! Better yet, if one could mix morale classes and put one element of "C"
class in the front rank, you could prompt them safely to charge the unwashed
whenever you want! Of course I'm the King of "D" class troops and I say this is
the el-cheapo answer.
One question, I recall in some of the older lists that EIR could downgrade
Legionaires to "D" status for those long stationed in the East or for those
disaffected. Why isn't this an option? I'm just curious and not trying to cause
a fuss. Just wondering!
