I have noticed a few oddities I thought it best to bring up before
they became lost in the distant tendrils of my feeble memory (the
second thing to go, the first being long-forgotten or something like
that).

First, in some lists (by no means all Indian) cavalry may be
made "elephant proof" (stinkin Sassanids with the clothespins on
their noses for instance). In the elephant rules it refers only
to "Indian horses" but no reference I recall to "elephant-proof"
horses. Nor am I certain all the "proofed" parts of the rules are
mentioned explicitly? Might be good to tighten all this up if it has
not been addressed by a previous 'clarification'. Probably similar
issues with camel-proofing?

Second, some of the orders restrictions are a bit contradictory as
stated exactly in the rulebook (at least as I read it, which
admittedly may be of no particular concern). For just one instance
Irr A missile troops under attack orders, probably should mention
under the missile troop restrictions bullet that this does not
include Irr A rather than the enveloping statement currently in the
book?

Hope I am not missing something previously addressed by a
clarification here. And all in all I'd say these are obvious with a
bit of thought and patience actually reading the rules - but
patience is not always ready when rummaging through the book over a
game table in mid-battle and so with nothing better to pick on
anymore <g>...

thx,
jm

Good catch. This is getting fixed in the revised text. It will note that the
(Scott) short hand of 'X-proof' means that those elements are not disordered by
camels or elephants.

Also being revised. In fact, I am working on that section right now...

Thanks
Jon
