Thanks Jon. Actually, you should have lost me because I mistyped. Let
me try again:
Let's say there are huge gaps between units in my line. Greg (for
example) moves an EHK unit up in front of one of these gaps, say to
the right (my right) of one of my HK units (which is unsupported),
but not INTO the gap itself(behind an imaginary line extending my
base front). He then can charge me and, by wheeling 45 degrees to his
right at the beginning of the charge move, he can contact my right
flank with his front right corner. Think about or map that for a
moment.
My question is this:
Can my HK unit countercharge by wheeling 45 degrees to my
right at the start of its countercharge move, and thereby attempt to
make Greg contact me in front, rather than on the flank? I realize
the geometry might be such as to prevent this ultimately being
successful, but is it legal to try?
Thanks.
The Greek
BTW, does anyone know why I can't post be responding to the e-mail
copy of your posts I receive from yahoo? Apparently, I can only post
by entering the list itself on yahoo groups website.

Oh yes. It is very much legal.
