Howdy,

It showed up for me it, but would have left it for Scott to answer. Since
you are in a hurry, however....

Would the 4h please give a sitrep on the Samurai lists. I have a
25mm army I'd like to start basing if the list is beginning to take
shape. I have the old NASAMW lists, but there is too much variation
for me to be able to predict how the final product will turn out.
Thanks
slb
I have heard Scott say here many times that the base list will use the old
Spearpoint list as a starting point. As we are in the throes of Imperial
Warrior right now and Classical Warrior is next, it is a probably year before
Oriental Warrior, our last main list book, will get done. Right now, no
oriental
list is taking shape as we are not working on any.

In response to several such questions about Samurai that have been asked
here, Scott some time ago posted the Spearpoint samurai lists in the files
section. It is sam.doc, down near the bottom of the list.

I'm sorry about the four hour thing, but I do not know where that expectation
comes from.
Jon

No progress. No idea other than what I've said in this forum before.

>Um, that's wrong.....and right. Right now, yes, I'm not doing s*q*u*a*t on OW
because, I have 3 sets of review team copies to meld into the next draft of IW
and we're ironing out the last bits of the Roman rules. Moreoever, we might end
up rewriting one list over the holidaze. Wrong in that OW *is* the next list
book up for production (web page is updated with broader dates of targeted,
repeat targeted publication and Oriental Warrior has always been scheduled as
the next-to-last army list book to be done---Classical Warrior is the last one).
I expect to begin work on that probably in February. Please don't ask for a
"sitrep" on one list in February. There are 44! OW lists and the Japanese one
in question won't be gotten around to for probably at least 2 months thereafter.

>If anybody would like to pay my current Club Fed salary, health benefits and
retirement, I'd gladly quit to work on these full time:)Smile:)

Thanks for the reply. I can't make it here often enough to keep
track of any but the most salient prolonged threads. I think yahoo
is having some sort of delay effecting all groups; I only noticed it
yesterday here. I knew Scott had a schedule, I just wasn't
tracking. Again, thanks.

Not bloody likely! I went on terminal IRR starting last March. In
September I received a warning order to be prepared to reenter
service. I showed up in October and was told that I'm being
activated and sent off to Drill Sargent School. Club Fed never lets
go :)

Again, thanks for the update. I've been busy buying, painting and
waiting with my Dixon Samurai. I have the FW list, and will wait
before expanding further.

Since Boyd and I both have 25mm Dixon Samurai armies with nothing to
do, what would good, interesting opponents be, using either new lists
or old lists; presuming the Samurai use the old Spearpoint list (what
issue was that? I think I have it).

Maybe by the time OW appears, we can have matching pairs of opponents.

That'll get you started.
