As Ewan and Jon have pointed out, this is an army we will likely see in
competition as soon as people can get the figures together .

You can mix SHC and EHC with the regulars, who are on the same line in the
list...but those are the only mixable SHC/EHC. Buying a couple such units,
elephant proof, is a very good mix to operate amongst your
elephants...supporting them against various infantry, while the elephants
support the SHC/EHC against knights.

So...we can do something like this:

That's 1595 points. 17 units, 3 commands, 70 scouting points.

The rationale is to move forward with a combined front of Elephants,
SHC/EHC, the 2 small LC units, and the MI unit. On other areas the LI/LC/HC
and Sub-generals dance around and see what they can do.

Interesting approach - chiefly not upgrading the El to 4 crew, which as
far as I can tell buys an additional El unit, basically. I think the MI
are 110 rather than 94, but that could be paid for by making the IrrC LC
more of the Reg D, mostly. I think the SHC/EHC while expensive are
necessary/desirable; but am not convinced that leaving the El as only two
(or one, for the CinC!) crew is optimal, especially against other
elephants (because against foes like Irr LMI you hope to lead with lancers
anyway, maybe it is not needed to upgrade the El. Would need to actually
play to know.) I think I'd go for Reg D LC vs. IrrC anyway, but this
maybe a useful heterogeneity - running off enemy LC B perhaps, although
unlikely given vulnerability to missile fire. And I might consider having
at least one JLS, Sh LI unit - to operate in tandem with a 4-man LC unit
in running down and killing an enemy LI screening unit - and for that role
it should ideally be Irr so able to be impetuous.
