Leafing through Dark Age Warrior and writing down some things on paper has me
wondering. Have any armies with lots of mediocre troops (Irr MI,JLS,Sh, for
instance) ever done well in tournaments?

Second, are there any circumstances underwhich you would take MI,JLS,Sh if
you could have MI,HTW,Sh instead? Elephants are the only instance I can think
of. Other than that narrow case, I don't see any event in which the JLS is
better or even equal to the HTW as a close order infantry weapon. Anyone?
