Long range, if it has Bow or something else with a close range of 80p or
less. Shooting ranges are measured from each shooting element.

The term 'imaginary element' is misleading. Again, the use of one element's
width measurement to either side of the shooting element is only a mechanic
used to describe the shooting ARC in a simple manner without resort to a
template. It has nothing to do with there actually being an element in that
position or range or visibility or anything else.
