2 units, one slightly angled such that one unit is capable of support
shooting for the other being charged due to being slightly behind the
chargers final flank. The question: does the entire unit get to
support shoot, or just the elements that are behind the chargers
final flank? Does the phantom element for shooting count - thus one
element wide could possibly shoot when you extend it out? The reason
for the question being the concept that shooting is done on an
element by element basis. I apologise if this has been answered
already.

Any part of the body being behind the charger's flank allows all eligible
elements to shoot, 8.82.

Support shooting question arose today. Two units are engaged in melee. A
third unit charges into melee. Can third unit support shoot as it charges into
an existing melee? Could it support shoot if it were charging through another
unit to replace it in combat?

Thanks,
John garlic

1) Yes, so long as it has an element out of contact to shoot at.

2) Yes, but note it will probably be disordered.
