Come on, Ewan, you know what was meant by your claim that the majority of
your games were over in 90 minutes. So do we. A little friendly banter is all
that was meant in return - no venom at all - but don't try and play us for
fools....
All 1600 point Warrior games can be played to conclusion in less than 4
hours. There is nothing about any army combination that requires slow play.
Even with a 'methodical' approach to set up the perfect 'last bound charge' at
just the right point on the enemy line - the troops only start at most (close
order foot) 6 bounds apart.
I have not been taking a break from Warrior these past few years, I have been
watching the play at CW and HCon very closely. None of the games that went
all the way to four hours *had* to go to four hours. If a player finds himself
leaning over the table staring at the same approach move for 10 minutes, it
is because currently he *can* afford that kind of time, not at all because he
*must* have it.
Chill, man.
Jon

Jon spat forth (with the usual lack of attributability):
4 hours is a minimal time; not because I don't play fast - *that*
criticism I feel quite safe from, given that I usually get the majority
of my games done in <90 mins! -
Ewan, you are a legend in your own mind....lol
Four hours is still wayyy too long. If we made it three hours (or even
less), slow players would be encouraged to play faster. It is not, as you
point out using your immense skill as an example, an issue that a game
*can* be brought to conclusion in a much shorter time.
