I am wanting to put a tournament together here in Florida. I know of
3 or 4 people that would participate from Florida, but I would like
to know how many from outside the state would be willing to travel to
play in a 25mm 1200 point tournament? I'm thinking of attaching it
to Hurricon in Tampa, or perhaps one of the central Florida "sci-
fi/role playing cons". Thanks for answering

Boyd,
25mm is not inclusive enough for new guys to the hobby in general. I know
one person in particular in FLA. Mike Lewis who lives in Broward Co. (known for
it's chads in the last election). Mikes not a new player but plays 15mm. which
is too bad. I know from experience here in KC that most of the fellows here who
have their own lead have started out in 15mm perhaps because of the cost factor
in getting into a new period. Many probably enjoy 25mm but I submit that most
would rather play with their own lead. Good luck in finding the numbers you
need, I'm sure you will as your a decent fellow and there must be some excellent
25mm players like Chris Damour nearby willing to bring the big toys!

I play both scales, but I don't see that many 15mm guys here. I know
of 1 with 15mm lead, and I can cobble something together in the small
stuff. Most here have 25mm, and I would be more than willing to lend
lead. If not too much trouble, I'd like to get Mike's email from
you. He would be a welcome addition to the Florida Warrior scene. :)

I'm in. Unlike Derek I don't have a couple of dozen 25mm armies.
15s are better for me, but I can paint if we are set on 25mm. It
would be nice to see the Baton Rouge and Birmingham crowds return to
the fold. I played in the Norbert Gisclair many times with 7th
edition. I may have a sponser also.
