I mentioned last night to a long time gamer the possibility of hosting the UK
title. This guy used to play 7th but now plays other rules. I had been trying
to get him and his group to try warrior for months with no joy. In fact i
would say there was no way they ever would.
I was shocked by his response.
"I will have to get a set of rules then, and start playing"
I think people like to play for titles and like to see a structured ranking
system. The sooner this is done, the more people will be attracted.
Most people would i guess like to able to say "im the national champion".
I have put my feelers out re hosting the uk champioinship of warrior, i think
i have premises and am looking out for a sponsor. I consider a two day event
(weekend) of four games in total.
Location wise, we may not be a big city but we have scenery and accommodation
is fairly reasonable.
Out of interest how many who read these boards might consider coming to
Whitehaven in west cumbria for a UK Title event.

Everything is up for discussion including dates. We have a maritime festival
here once a year in the summer, maybe then? But accommodation is harder to
come by that weekend.
I will await more feedback.

Mark,
I've been looking for an excuse to visit the "Home Country" for years now.
My finances are now in order and I think a visit to the United Kingdom is just
the ticket! When do you think you would like to host such an event?
