Unless I am mistaken, the Wallachian list would fit Vlad and not the
Hungarian list. Although he ruled Wallachia under the "grace" of the
Hungarian king, he did rule on his own as a prince. I am glad to see
the separate list finally Wink I used to "tick off" the Later
Hungarian player in my area by stating that Vlad was not Hungarian...

An interesting period of history to be sure. Although the Turks were
to take Wallachia and place Vlad's brother on the throne, I propose
that most of Europe would have fallen to the Turks were it not for
him. Interesting to note that his enemies seem to have written his
story. I have no doubt that he was ruthless but I also feel that
many "fish stories" were written about him by Germans and that our
history of this time period is rather distorted. Romanians consider
him a national hero; as did many in the Christian church until wildly
exagerated stories reached Rome. Ah well, it is difficult to separate
fact from fiction. And I like a good vampire story as much as the
next guy.... ;-)
