I will be running a Warrior tournament at Kubla Con, Memorial Day weekend. This
will be at the Hyatt Regency in Burlingame, right next to the San Francisco
airport.

In the past we've had trouble at large cons competing with all the other gaming
that people are trying to get in. In an attempt to solve that problem, I'm
going to run the tournament as follows:
- Players will be scored on their best 3 rounds in the tournament;
- Players will be encouraged (but not required) to play at least 3 rounds;
- In the event of a tie for first place, tie-breakers will be in the following
order:
-- First, score in any head to head game;
-- Second, score of opponents;
-- Third, score in round 4 and/or round 5 games;
- We will run a total of 4 rounds for sure, and potentially 5 rounds if there is
need and interest and I can find space. That way players can come and go as
needed to fit other gaming into their schedule.
- The first round will be Friday afternoon/evening. I should be there by 4:00
PM, and be willing to start games any time between 4:00 and 6:00 as players
show up;
- Rounds 2-4 will be Saturday, starting at 9:00. Again, I will float start times
somewhat as people show up.
- I don't officially have a 5th round reserved for Sunday morning, but I'm sure
we could find some space for a game or two if there are players keen on getting
in a 3rd round who haven't done so yet.
- We're doing 1600 points, 25mm, 1 list, 4 terrain picks, tables will either be
8x4 or 8x5; I'm still working on table size with the organizers.

I would like to do a campaign style game as I've described earlier, but I don't
think I can pull off organizing that in time for Kubla Con given the other
demands on my life (work, baby, recovering from back surgery). I will
definitely run such an event for the SF Con on Labor Day Weekend.
