How about rallying troops from rout.

I got my CinC to a router today but there was enemy within 240 paces... i had
hoped to get rid of this enemy during combat but failed to ..the game was
then adjourned... i have yet to check whether the routers continue or what ..
diverting around the CinC.

It's time for another Warrior clinic, boys. Is there any particular subject
you'd like me to write about?

You mean recover, of course. :)

I'll do a clinic on recovery unless there's a bunch of votes for another topic.

Jon,

My vote would be something more in the line of your clinic on camps. I would
appreciate information on how to deal with things which are unusual (at
least for me), like:

Crazy troop types (elephants, chariots, scythed chariots)

Fortifications, obstacles, etc. (at Historicon and Cold Wars I had people
put down obstacles and not know how units could move across them, units
being slowed, disordered, ...)

Maybe the use of artillery and hand guns

As someone who only gets to play at conventions, I donąt get a chance to see
these things in Śregularą gaming and they are rare enough to not see them
often in tournaments. What happens then is that I never really have learned
how to deal with them properly to begin with and I end up not sure what to
do when I do see them.

Thanks.

Ok, so which? lol I'll get to all of them eventually, I need to know which is
next. Rank order your choices, would ya? Thanks.

Hmmm... how about the use of generals and their particular nuances
with regards to joining, combat, recovering routers, and the like.
Add in banners - what is required, strength and weakness of each
type, perhaps.

You all are wimps. Your Generals should be fighting and in the combat!

How about a Warrior clinic on the nuances of fighting supported, unsupported
and how Generals who actually fight provide will and eagerness to the rest
of the Army.

PS - You're summary paragraph can be why my general always breaks first.
PPS - My best battle ever was facing Mr. Regets when My CNC broke in bound
3. Every other unit passed the waver checks! (some wacky total like 14 or
15!).
PPPS - Most of this is just in jest, except the PPS and thought about the
Warrior clinic.

Jon,

My vote would be for dealing with obstacles.

The last couple of tournaments that I've been in have had Stone Walls
and Ditched Palisades. Hadn't run into those in the past and don't
really have a good solution for them.

2nd choice - with the the addition of several more lists that have
cart mounted artillary. It'd be nice to get some ideas on how to
deal with them (regular Art I can handle, but it's the swivel and
shoot that gets me).

That's a great idea, Tim! I would be for a "brush-up" on that.

I vote for field fortifications also.

Single element or unit generals, is sort of a no-brainer.

My plan is this:

I am recording each separate 'vote' in the order it arrived. When I get back to
the US, I am going to sit down and take the one with the most votes (earliest in
breaks ties) and do it and then do the rest in order as time goes on.

Hmm, I must have no brain. I always make my choice depending on the army and
army size and not always the same choice is made.

Those of you like me have no fear, a general-based Warrior clinic will get done.

I would be for field fortifications if we could also talk about Pavises used as
an obstacle such as those used by the Achaemenid Persians.
