I'm talking to the people at MIGS about the Warrior tournament I want to run
there. Now, I unfortunately can only get 8x4 tables. Do people here think
it would be an idea to run a tournament at 1200pts per side on a 6'x4'
playing surface? Would a 7'x4' table for a 1200pt game be better?

Michael,
I presume you are talking about a 25mm tournament. Someone else will
doubtless have a better qualitative answer to your question. But I
would note that "once upon a time" for a few years the TOG 25mm Mini
in Lancaster was 1200 points on a 6' x 4' table. It is certainly
workable.

Should have been more specific... Sorry. It is, indeed, 25mm.
Thanks,

[ Now the relevence of my earlier comments re table sizes becomes more
clear. Please could we make 8x4 for 25mm the standard with an option to increase
to 8x5 for those that can actually get 8x5]

Since the table size of 6x4 seems workable, what is the general preference
for point totals for a game on a table this size (i.e. not necessarily in
this instance, just in general). I see three choices: 1600pts, 1400pts,
1200pts.
Thoughts?

It's six, Mike.

Given your kind comments, it'll be 1200pts on a 4'x6' table. One last
question though...
As I understand it, a NICT qualification requires a tournament with at least
8 participants. So, assuming I can get 8 people out, would this create a
qualifier for the NICT finals next year at Historicon?
