The Mini at Cold Wars will be Thematic. 1200 pt armies, ONE version (instead of
two). This could change if we implement the campaign concept Ed Bernhard is
currently working on. We'll know more about that after the beginning of the
year. If he works out the details, we'll go with that as well. Won't
complicate things too much since everybody still plays with a 1200 pt army each
round based on a single 1600 pt list you create before the tourney begins.

Armies will be out of Holy Warrior, armies 1-23, 30. The following two armies
will be allowed with restrictions:

29-Early period only. All EHK except generals elements reduced to HK. EHK
generals MUST be single element bodies (they can join a unit, obviously, but
can't be part and parcel of it from the gitgo)
31-No Franks.

This does the Crusades up to 1204 AD and the sack of Constantinople by the 4th
Crusaders. It's a nice break point in terms of the whole armoring issue and
what armies then come to the fore. What we then do at Hcon is run armies post
1204 AD (and some can start beforehand if they run later into the period such as
the Later Crusaders and Coastal States of Outremer, I can work out details on
that tomorrow) and include the Baltic Crusades, etc. This way we get a nice
break in terms of armies and capabilities while remaining fairly true to the
thematic structure as envisioned by HMGS who we're supporting by doing this
theme. The Hcon theme would include some armies from Feudal Warrior which will
have been published. If we don't get the Campaign ready in time for Cold Wars,
I plan on running it instead at Hcon. Otherwise, Hcon would be the usual 1600
pt armies but again, I'm going with ONE list, at least for the theme.

Fall In, I still don't know about. We might not do anything, just run Opens.

And I don't know how Fast Warrior will factor into all of this. Just wanted to
give everybody a jump on Themes. I plan on playing the 1st Crusade list at Cold
Wars in 25mm.

I'll have this up on various web sites later this week.
