As we reapproach 270 members, I'd like to welcome the newest of our
group to the Warrior game community.
I don't know all of you, of course, but I know at least one has
joined us because of interest in Fantasy Warrior and that means a
great deal to me, as you are embarking on buying and learning Warrior
purely on word of mouth about our playtest - we won't let you down.
And please, feel free to try the historical aspect of the game... :)

The recruiting discussion of the last two days has been an awesome
thread, and I'd like to think we might keep that in our minds as an
example of the kind of information sharing this list is all about as
we encourage our newest members in their endeavors.

I know that even though I try to be careful of how I sound in email,
I certainly don't always get the 'voice' across that I intend. I
also made a joke buried in the recruiting thread, that in retrospect
wasn't probably the best call. Let's all redouble our efforts to
raise this list above the standard for internet list discussions.

Roll up and win!
Jon

Thanks Jon,

Always nice to read such a warm welcome.

Let me in turn introduce myself to the list. My name is Ted
Settlemire, I have been a "gamer" in one form or another for well
over 20 years. I am currently serving in the USAF and am stationed in
the DC area. I tend to play almost anything once and have termed
myself a "rules junkie" vice a rules lawyer. I thoroughly enjoy
disecting rules and have a vast collection.

My interests in Historicals tends towards Napoleonics and WWII Land
Combat. I also enjoy a number of Fantasy type games and it was Jon's
post on another list that caught my eye. I have to acknowledge a
great lack of experience with ancients but am more than willing to
absorb whatever I can.

I have spent some time reading through past posts and am impressed
with the quality of discussion on the list and hope to contribute
when applicable.

Thanks All,
Ted S
