If there are ~1000 Warrior players total, what percentage are
"mostly" oriented towards tournaments? Obviously the ~400 on the
email list are, but what about the Silent 600?
Do you base your 1000 player figure on sales only, or do you have
reason to believe that the rules are actually being played regularly
after purchase by that many people?
The tournament crowd seems to have no desire for changes, but I
wonder if there actually is a potential player base interested in
"historic matchups" that could be tapped if Warrior would change its
image as a "tournament geek" rules set.
I hope that Eric comes up with an interesting demo using my
Egyptian/Mittanni figures, and if there is any scope for X-rules that
would make such an in-period matchup more "flavorful" then they
should be used.
Even such specific things as "Sea Peoples may refuse to charge Sea
Peoples in another army" due to tribal affiliations might make the
game more appealing to a potential audience.
