How many ranks fight HtH in a body of chariots with JLS-armed crew, first contact and subsequent bounds?

Reason for asking, only important in that it suggests some possible wording issues and website oddities...

9.22 says...
"[JLS] ...second rank of foot armed with JLS and behind a front rank of... ...chariots..."
then says...
"They also fight at half effect in later bounds if... ...used by chariot or elephant crew..."

There is no language in the last version of the clarifications to change any of this part of this section. (note - can't get the clarifications on this forum, the topics listed under files/clarifications only have old stuff)

The language in 9.22 above is a bit awkward at least. Teken literally, always the best approach, it seems to me to say a JLS-armed chariot crew in a second rank does not fight at all in the first bound of HtH then fights at half effect in the subsequent bounds of HtH. But the phrase "they also fight..." really throws a wrench into this as "they also" definately means they had to in the first bound as well, or alternatively that "they" does not apply to chariot crews themselves and only to their runners in which case the wording of "use by chariot or elephant crew" is definately hard more me to get my brain wrapped around. Is "foot" "chariot crew" and chariot runners as a concept all twisted up in my head here trying to read this section?

13.25 glaringly omits the second rank crew in subsequent bounds... is this an indicator it is just a typo that slipped in as a cut and paste from the JLS+ section bullets and never got caught in the clarifications?

9.22 under JLS says second rank of foot. There is no second rank fighting by mounted JLS without a list rule.

then would you please add to the clarifications to revise the bullet in the list under 9.22 [JLS] indicating
"They also fight at half effect in later bounds if... ...used by chariot or elephant crew..."

and have it changed to...
"They also fight at half effect in later bounds if... ...used by elephant crew..."
...or better yet have that bullet deleted altogether since it sounds like El-crews (not LI on base, the actual crew) also are not permitted JLS from a second rank without a list rule.

This will all be moot shortly, but good to tie loose ends. Hopefully the new rulebook did not just copy the same typo or at least one of the proofreaders caught it and it just never made it back into the first edition clarifications.
