The binder used a glue that was incompatible with the high quality of the paper we are using and would not adhere properly. The books are being moved to St Louis today to be bound with a special polyurethane glue (at no cost to FHE of course) and will likely be back to me (and shipped to Jake for distro) on Monday. I will keep you posted.

I have possession of some books here in KC and the rest have been shipped to FHE HQ in CT. By our estimates, they should be out in the mail to preorder folks on Tuesday given that Monday is a holiday.
They're awesome.

And they look Sweet!
Great Picture of LIR on the back cover (and Sassanids too)
The additional diagrams had our LGS owner expecting an increase in players

The new books are at FHE HQ. Preorders went out yesterday.
Thanks for all your patience and contributions on this project.
Now we can really take Warrior for a spin...

The quick reference sheet that is the last page of the new rulebook was printed with a couple of minor errors and without the perforation. A corrected copy is available as a free .df in the files section under Play Aids.

The "perf" isn't one you'd find in other books, its very close to the binding, and is nothing like the one in the 1st edition book. The only way to really tell is how the paper comes out out, it doesn't tear like an unperfed page. I'll show you when I buy my other book.

I would advise everyone just to leave it there and use the .pdf download.

Imagine my delight today to have a large flat square package in my mailbox, and then to open it and find an absolutely beautiful state of the art rule book inside. You guys have outdone yourselves, it is certainly a work of art!!!!! |

Jon, Scott, Bill, Jake;
The new Warrior rule book is very, very impressive. This may be the best effort that I have ever seen in a wargaming publication. Congrats to all that were a part of this effort. A job well done!!

Jon,
Got my rulebook yesterday. This is definitely a professional looking piece of work; you and everyone else at FHE should be proud.
No doubt I'll get a bit intense with my questions in the coming weeks as I struggle to make sure I'm clear on everything. Don't forget, though, that my intensity comes because this is a rules set I'm very proud to champion, and a group of hobbyists I'm lucky to be part of.
