 |
|
Jon:
The previous (1st) edition of Warrior stated on page 86 that "hills can be steep all around or have both steep and gentle slopes, AND are either rounded or rocky." This meant that a player successfully choosing a hill specified both "gentleness/steepness" and "smoothness/rockiness."
The new black rulebook omits the part about rounded vs. rocky and only says that "the placing player must clearly designate all steep slopes."
Query: 1. Is this a change in the rules such that now if some wily Greek player wants a steep rocky hill for purposes of an avalanche (Sec. 16.3 which still requires a steep AND rocky slope), he must first roll successfully for a hill with steep slopes and then roll for a rocky ground and hope to superimpose it on the hill? _________________ -Greek |

Yes. For wily Greeks and everyone else as well.

Now I understand why Mark has been flyspecking the new rule book. I don't know where I got the idea that there would be no need to do this. In all seriousness, you wouldn't happen to have a cheat sheet with all the changes would you?? _________________ -Greek |
