I need help from the forum. I am painting a 25mm version of Early Imperial Rome Army List #18. I am seeking the LC version of Equites Alares Sagittarii with no shields. If the only figs available of this type have shields, I may be able to remove them. Does anyone know of a 25mm manufacturer for this type of figure?
In addition the only historical info I found regarding this trooop type was for the late Roman period. Is the early period version similar to the later period regarding depiction and painting?

Rich,
Look at the Old Glory Range of Roman 25mm figures, and look at the whole range Early-Mid-Late Roman.
Their figure have the shields as an "add-on" so if you want them w/o it is a very easy fix.
I'm pretty sure the LIR LC is very comparable with the Earlier LC, but someone will probably jump in with the exact history.

A&A has a nice MIR range. Their LC would probably be closer to the EIR you are looking for than would the LIR figs from OG.
