Another Historicon question:
A mounted staff element joins a foot body. The staff element is placed in the rear of the body; that part is clear enough. As far as I can tell, however, no rule requires it to remain there. The overall body could expand, turn 90 degrees, exchange ranks, or do other formation changes that would result in the staff element being somewhere other than the rear of the body. Is that correct?

The following is taken verbatim from 4.13:
"The staff element cannot be placed
anywhere but behind the actual rear rank and does not count
as a rank for any purpose except CPF received."

I know what the rules says, Jon. "Be placed" and "remain placed" are different concepts. It's the latter on which I'm seeking clarification.
