I'm finally going through the notes I have scribbled in my rules book from Historicon; there were a number of rules questions that arose.
Support shooting: A unit of HC L,B,Sh declares a charge at an opponent who opts to evade. After variable move rolls the evaders are not caught. Can the HC support shoot at the evaders from a second rank with Bow?
Yes: the HC declared a charge, and chargers can support shoot from a second rank with Bow.
No: chargers who do not contact become pursuers, and pursuers do not get to support shoot.
I don't care which way it is, just looking for some clarification.

I always thought the chargers could shoot.
I have another question. Chargers against evaders. No catch. Assume chargers can shoot in this situation, may they shoot at any target or may they only shoot at the evaders?

Yes, a charger can shoot if it does not make contact.
Its target is determined by shooting priority and may not be the target of the charge in some cases.
