1) In the follow-up example 6-30 on page 54 can unit A expand to its right, effectively in front of elephant unit B?
2) If a unit(1) has a friendly unit(2) prolonging its front, can an element from unit(2) in contact as an overlap fight in a second bound of h-t-h if there is no movement from combat results?

3) If infantry are shot for 2 CPF while mounted, how do they react?

1) Yes.
2) No. Prolonging is only used for shooting. Overlap simulates more men from the same body pushing forward to engage as a combat continues. A new body would have to charge.
3) They take a waver test unless they can and choose to charge (they are mounted troops in that situation). Which being armed with SA and having no shield (6.62) would be interesting...lol
