12.324 section E states (pg. 100) allows you to attack either the TF as a whole, or each individual element, counting the TF elements as 5 figure transport elements.
16.12 (pg. 129) states that when attacking TF's, you "combine the CPF equivalent of the constructs with that of the unit they are contained in/protecting. If the incendiary shooting does 4 total CPF to the combined body - remove the construct elements."
I have read both sections and am confused. Does this mean you can attack each individual element of the TF, provided you combine the figure count of the element with the figure count of the entire body behind the TF? Or, are you required to only attack the entire TF, counting the figure value of the body defending it? Can you just attack the individual TF elements without considering the body defending it?
Or am I misreading both passages?

The key passage is this from 16.12
"When a body shoots incendiaries at a target that is or
includes wooden transport or temporary fortifications
(construct elements) combine the CPF equivalent of the
constructs with that of the unit they are contained
in/protecting. If the incendiary shooting does 4 total CPF to
the combined body – remove the construct elements."
If the target is wooden TF (as opposed to a target that includes it) then there is no unit contained in it or protected by it to include and you are just shooting at the TF.
If you want to shoot at the whole thing, then include the TF in the whole and shoot at the whole. _________________ Roll Up and Win! |
