 |
|
Let's say a list has the following statement in its notes.
"Minimums marked * apply only if troops of that nationality are used."
Now let's say the list has a troop type called "Lithuanian mercenaries", available during any period with no minimum and not marked with a star.
But let's also say that the list has a certain sub-period with a troop type called "Lithuanian cavalry" and "Lithuanian sub-general" both with a starred non-zero minimum.
You could substitute any "nationality" for "Lithuanian" in this quastion. There may be some uncertainty here and elsewhere, among us rules-lawyers, as to what exactly constitutes nationhood.
My question is (at long last) can you take the mercenaries in that sub-period without taking the minimums for the cavalry and sub-general?
If the answer is "no" I have a follow-up question, which I am sure you can guess. |
