Do Roman Auxilia with HTW revert to 1 HCW or other foot after the first bound of combant?

I'm assuming you mean "no they do not revert to 1HCW, so yes they count as other foot."

Otherwise no to both 1HCW and other infantry would mean what... they retain HTW? They run around weaponless? Both of those seem unlikely.

They revert to "other infantry"?

or

they revert to 1HCW?

P.S. Any of you guys married and your wife is upset about something and you ask if she's upset and she simply says, "No"? You ask if anything is wrong and you get the one word answer, "Nothing". You know something is amiss but you are not allowed to know what it is ... I'm not sure if I've done something wrong in asking about Auxilia HTW. (heh, heh, heh). Laughing

Auxilia, and most troops with HTW, apart from Roman Legionaries (or similar, earlier, other named roman close order foot), revert to 'other' infantry weapons.

So...your Aux with HTW revert to Other Infantry.

Still, it's not bad to arm some Reg LHI with HTW,Sh for use in terrain. Used creatively they're an unexpected threat...just make sure they actually get into combat with something.
