Unfortunately, work and personal circumstances prevent me from attending Historicon this year. I'm really going to miss the event and the people. So best of luck to all of you.

My silver lining: Frank Gilson and I have been helping out with list review for the NICT, and so I have a behind the scenes look at who is playing, what they're playing, and how they've bought it. With a couple of obvious exceptions (*ahem* Ewan *ahem*) the mix of lists is not at all what I would have expected. This promises to be a fascinating year for the NICT.

On a more solemn note, I was surprised by the number of regulars who apparently won't be in attendance this year. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing, and we'll all be there in force next year.

Anyway, I look forward to updates and action reports as Historicon progresses (if possible), and in follow-up next week.
