Hello,
Could you please clarify the following, using List 37 Hellenistic Greek from Classical Warrior as an example.
1) Some troops have choices with 'or' in them (Slingers line 19 Reg or
Irr C). Does this mean you can use both types if you wish?
2) Greek Cavalry (line 4) is listed as Reg C HC/LC. How is this meant to
be interpreted?
thanks, Steve |

For lines as you describe, with a choice of morale or type, you can take any of the elements permitted as either sort in bodies that otherwise follow the rules.
So, for (1), you can have Irr slinger bodies or Reg slinger bodies, but can't mix those because the rules prohibit it.
For (2) you can have HC bodies or LC bodies or HC/LC bodies as you wish.
My personal prejudice would be to take Regular slingers, and no Irr, and shield them all as they are at their most useful (and still cheap) that way.
I'd take LC, and little to no HC in the other case as the LC provides lots of scouting and has more use, in my opinion, than HC JLS.

Thanks for the helpful reply Frank.
So, the / means the two types can combine as one unit as they appear on the same line?
By contrast in List 38 the Thracian cavalry must be in distinct units of either light or heavy?
Thanks, Steve |
