Hello Jon,
(This will be the final question posted for some time - honest)
Again, taking an example from the rulebook, this time 6-12.
It actually concerned a unit in rout, but it is the nearest situation I can find to the question that arose.
In our game unit X was a broken 2E unit of HCh (its variable dice throw was 5). It had been contacted to both front and flank, so its initial rout path took it into a unit of irreg C LMI 110P behind it (unit A in the example. To A's left was a patch of [impassable to wheels] brush, and to the right was unit B Reg C MI).
The routing HCh can legally interpenetrate unit A, which has shaken. When it makes contact with unit A, what exactly happens?
1) Does it continue in a straight line and exit at the same angle as it entered, deviating around unit B?
2) Does it pivot on contact (as per a charge) and exit through A's center rear?
3) Can it wheel before it contacts unit A?
4) Does the original angle of contact make the interpenetration illegal and the HCh bursts through, carrying away the Irreg LMI. (This was the one we opted for as a consequence of all the deployment errors made )
Thanks, Raphael (who is still trying to shake-off 10 years of DBM ) |

*IF* I understand the example correctly, and given no diagram i make no promises, the answer is 1). _________________ Roll Up and Win! |
