4.13, page 19, Generals Joining Units
I have a general in an independent staff element join a foot unit.
If the general is Reg A or Irr A does the note on page 25 apply? That is, that a body that has any "A" class tropps in its front rank is never uneasy...

4.13, for a mounted general joining a foot unit, specifies that 'the general is assumed to be in the front rank of the foot for eagerness (5.11), random factor dicing (9.43), and risk to him (10.4), but neither his own figure or others of his staff element count as fighting except for calculating CPF received (10.3)."
I would gather then that the answer to the following questions is NO as none of these cases are mentioned in the rule:
Does a mounted general of C morale or better joined to a foot entirely D morale body permit that body to charge prompted without a waver?
Does a mounted general of B or Reg A morale joined to a foot body of C or D morale permit that body to reduce a net minus by 1? (for his morale NOT because he's a general) ...although this is also Rule 9.43, so maybe the answer here is yes
Does a mounted general who is not elephant or camel proof joined to a foot body cause that body to become entirely disordered due to the presence of elephants or camels from 80p from the front of the unit? (but I presume the answer is yes from 80p of the general's actual element)

[[I would gather then that the answer to the following questions is NO as none of these cases are mentioned in the rule:

Yes. The body is no longer entirely D.
[[Does a mounted general of B or Reg A morale joined to a foot body of C or D morale permit that body to reduce a net minus by 1? (for his morale NOT because he's a general) ...although this is also Rule 9.43, so maybe the answer here is yes ]]
Yes. Hence the specific reference.
[[Does a mounted general who is not elephant or camel proof joined to a foot body cause that body to become entirely disordered due to the presence of elephants or camels from 80p from the front of the unit? (but I presume the answer is yes from 80p of the general's actual element) ]]
80p from his element. He is not in the front rank for this purpose. _________________ Roll Up and Win! |

Ahhh....thanks, easy to get confused...and the general doesn't need to be in the front rank for various purposes... |
